Who we are
Trova is run by Daniel van der Pluijm, based in Switzerland. For anything about your data, contact [email protected].
What we collect
Your email address, the date you signed up, the age band of each child you tell us about (4-6, 7-9, or 10-11), your country, and, if you tell us, how you heard about Trova. We don't ask for any child's name or exact date of birth.
Why we collect it
Your email is how we send you the free activity you asked for, and, if you say yes to it, occasional emails about new Trail Crew releases (about once a month). The age band and country help us decide what to build next and which languages matter most. None of it is used to identify your child individually. We only do this because you told us it's okay, by checking the consent box when you signed up: your consent is the only reason we're allowed to email you, and you can take it back at any time (see "Your rights" below).
Who handles it
We use Brevo, a French email service, to send these emails and store your address. Brevo doesn't use your email for anything except sending what we ask it to send, and keeps it on servers inside the EU: your data doesn't leave Europe.
What we don't do
We don't sell or share your email with anyone else. We don't send more than about one email a month unless you're expecting it, like the download you just requested.
How long we keep it
We keep your details for as long as you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, we remove it within 30 days, except where we're required to keep basic records for longer by law.
Your rights
Every email has an unsubscribe link. Click it and you're off the list immediately, no questions, no delay. You also have the right to ask what we have on file, correct it, have it deleted, limit how we use it, get a copy of it, or withdraw your consent entirely, at any time. Email us and we'll sort it out. If you ever feel we haven't handled your data properly, you can also complain to Switzerland's Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), or, if you're in the EU, your own country's data protection authority.
